Joanna was first introduced to yoga and meditation in 2006. From the beginning, this sparked passion and energy for the physical practice and an ongoing desire to create a more peaceful and balanced life.
In her teaching, Joanna calls upon varied modalities that bring a culmination of healing to the mind, body and spirit. Her teaching style helps students to cultivate energy and strength, while her established meditation practice allows for her to protect space to develop compassion toward oneself.
In 2015, Joanna received her 200-hour registered yoga certification through Yoga on High, advancing her studies and personal practice in Vinyasa.
She is a certified Ayurveda Health Educator (A.H.E.) and enjoys weaving Ayurveda’s principles into her teaching. Her dedication to Ayurvedic medicine brings clarity and understanding to treating the whole person—physically, emotionally and spiritually—to help establish balance and support individuals on their journey toward optimal health and wellness.
In Joanna’s career she has held several management roles from strategic marketing in the professional services industry to development and fundraising in the nonprofit arena. Her passion and engagement in this work has inspired her to teach from a place of understanding to provide stress relief, compassion and a deeper connection to oneself.
Joanna has lived in the Short North for over 15 years and enjoys supporting her local community and small business owners.
