Patti Petrella, RYT 500, has more than 30 years experience as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, including Pilates, ACE Personal Training, Reiki, Lebed (Focus on Healing FOH, CLM). She has been practicing yoga since 2000 and has been teaching yoga classes since 2002. She has a BFA from The Ohio State University (1995) and channels her artistic inclinations into her yoga.
She has over two thousand hours experience in teaching yoga, some of which has been teaching yoga to cancer survivors and their families at various facilities and organizations. She presently teaches a free weekly class for those in need of healing at Grow Yoga.
Her Yoga training includes 500 hours teacher training with Laurel Hodory (2008-2013) through the Yoga Alliance. Further training includes Ashtanga with Laurel, Matthew Darling, and Indu Bala Bhardwaj, as well as Hatha, Vinyasa, Yoga Therapy and specialty classes for cancer patients.
Patti is a strong believer in focusing on positive energy and projecting this energy in the her yoga classes. Her intention is to create a warm and caring environment in each class, not to force anyone into a mold but to help each student explore how yoga might inspire them and bring them greater fulfillment and healing. She teaches from the heart creating safe and nurturing classes for anyone who wants to the experience trans formative energy of yoga.
Yoga is the foundation for Patti's personal practice believing that yoga can help us all achieve peace, happiness and physical well-being, and through this path we can experience our own form of bliss.
