In addition to being wonderful hip and hamstrings openers, seated poses promote good overall health and work especially well to improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal system. In this workshop, we will explore the specific mechanics of seated poses and learn to adapt them to the individual by using props. We will discuss how to work with students who have injuries, and we’ll practice using our hands to give adjustments in a way that is safe, intelligent, and effective. This year’s focus will be on the latter half of the seated poses, beginning with Navasana.
This workshop is part of Tim’s two-week teacher training intensive offered in California, which we offer here in Ohio in increments. We are honored to be part of Tim’s Intensive Teacher Training program on the road, which will continue each spring at Yoga on High for the next few years.
