Carmen Cordova

Carmen began practicing yoga in Santa Monica, California in the 1960s. After an extended absence from her practice, she began taking classes with Martha Marcom in the mid-nineties. She has also studied with Tim Miller. For over 20 years, she has taught elementary school (preschool to 6th) and has a doctorate in language literacy and culture. She feels that teaching children yoga is a perfect match with her other skills as it is excellent for their cognitive and social development and is as playful as they are. Kids are natural yogis. She knows that she has as much to learn from them as they do from her.
