Ambre Emory Maier

Always interested in learning, Ambre Emory-Maier came to yoga through a career in the dance field, hoping to heal an old injury and rejuvenate her body, mind and spirit. Having first studied yoga in the traditional Ashtanga style, Ambre later became certified at the 200 and 500 hour level in Hatha yoga through YOHI’s Teacher Training Program. Her asana classes contain elements of flow, pranayama, restorative practices, chanting, honesty and humor. Ambre loves to see the transformative power of yoga at work. Believing that yoga practice is an opportunity to heal and bring us all closer to our true natures, she integrates her experiences as a Reiki Master into her yoga classes by teaching students about the energetic body and about compassion. Ambre has studied with many wonderful, wise yogis and dance professionals over the years and wishes to thank her teachers and mentors, including Linda Oshins, Marcia Miller, Martha Marcom, Jonette Lancos and Swami Ramananda. She is honored to be an assistant teacher in YOHI’s 200 hour Teacher Training program and is continually inspired by those wishing to serve. Ambre lives in Worthington, Ohio with her beloved husband, daughter and many creatures.
