In order to become most receptive to Reiki energy, training on each level of Reiki culminates in an attunement. Yoga on High offers three levels of Reiki attunements:

First and second level training and attunements consist of either three evenings or a weekend so that you acquire a good conceptual basis for using Reiki and have ample time to practice in the presence of a trained Reiki Master. Without practice time, one might be attuned but not use Reiki. For most people, feeling their own or another’s energy field is a new experience and one that requires validation.

Reiki Master training is more involved and requires more time to be attuned.  There are two levels of attunement as a Master, that of Master and that of Master Teacher.  Please see more detail by following the Reiki Master link below.
