New Beginners Classes

Beginners Schedules

Yoga on High teaches two main styles of yoga: Ashtanga and Hatha. Our New Beginners courses last 10 weeks and are especially designed for those who have never practiced yoga, are new to a vigorous practice like Ashtanga or who have stopped practicing for a while and need a refresher. We keep our student/teacher ratio low so that the teacher can get to know the students, their movement patterns, and their physical gifts and limitations. You will learn the basic principles, techniques, and poses of yoga with plenty of personal attention.

Recommendations

  • Yoga clothes should be stretchy and invite movement within the body.  In class, you’ll be practicing in bare feet.
  • Ashtanga students may wish to wears layers of clothing because Ashtanga is done in a heated room and the body heats up rapidly during the practice.
  • For all yoga classes, try not eat for two hours prior to class. If you need to eat closer to class, chose something light like a piece of fruit. Feel free to bring water to class, however Ashtanga students are not encouraged to drink cold water during class.
  • Please arrive a few minutes early to get settled before class begins.
  • Practice at you own comfort level in class and let the teacher know if you would like modifications for any pose.

New Beginners Pre-Registration

Course runs for 10 weeks long and total cost is $140.
Pre-registration & payment is required

Refund Policy – Refunds are only available after first class (minus $29), provided that proper notice is given within 48 hours of the first class.
