Prenatal Classes

Prenatal yoga adapts traditional yoga postures for the specific needs of pregnancy through gentle yoga movements. It also helps relieve tension and teaches you how to remain calm and balanced, important skills during labor and delivery.

This 10-week course includes stretching, postural alignment and breathing techniques. You will also learn specific yoga poses for addressing the discomforts of pregnancy and for building strength, flexibility and endurance. Each class will conclude with a relaxation period. You are encouraged to practice at your own level of comfort, and the teacher can help you modify any pose.

Testimonials

Prenatal yoga is ideal for maintaining a sense of balance and peace during the physical and hormonal changes of pregnancy. The relaxation and awareness of the pelvis in yoga also helps in labor and delivery. I suggest it for many of my patients, particularly in first pregnancies. Yoga on High's programs are very well thought out and the instructors are always attentive to students' needs. The center is a wonderful environment in which to learn and practice yoga.
