Yoga on High demystifies the ancient healing tradition of yoga and brings the benefits of this practice into a modern context that addresses challenges in our daily lives. It is absolutely the best way to start the workday, spend a lunch hour, or end a long day at the office.
In the workplace, the general benefits of yoga translate to increased creativity and productivity, decreased absenteeism, and fewer work-related, repetitive-action injuries like carpal tunnel syndrome and low back pain. Employees will notice an increase in energy level, improved concentration, less physical tension in the back, neck and shoulders, and a sense of physical and emotional balance.
Classes and workshops can be scheduled before work, during the lunch hour, or after work. We can adjust the length of the class from either 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your needs or time constraints. Classes can be customized for all levels of students from beginners through advanced students, with mixed level classes as an option as well.
We offer single classes or series of either 4 or 8 week sessions, and we accommodate groups of any size.
All prices include classroom set up and teacher’s travel time within I-270. An additional travel fee will apply for further distances.
*Classes for more than 20 people may require a teaching assistant; is fee is an additional $35 per class.
For classes at your site we need a clean, quiet room with ample floor and wall space. It can be a conference room or gym. Uncarpeted floors are preferable but not required. Each student needs a yoga mat. We can provide them at a discount or they can bring their own. We can also provide yoga props–blocks, straps, blankets, and bolsters which broaden students’ options for practice.
“Yoga on High assisted our law firm with creating a workplace yoga program that has been in place for several years and has a loyal following. The one-hour, mid-day, lunch-hour program features a gentle yoga format geared toward moving participants through stretches, postures, and relaxation exercises that accommodates students at all levels. Our Yoga on High instructor also offers modifications for those seeking a greater or lesser level of intensity. The workplace yoga program has become an important part of our firm’s health/wellness platform. Yoga on High has been an instrumental partner in the success of this initiative.”
